What a week!

It has been quite the week this week at the Belnap's.  First of all Devin had an inguinal hernia and so last Tuesday he had to get surgery to get it fixed.  The doctor ended up doing both sides because it was only a small amount of time before the other side got worse.  So for a couple days Devin and I were both waddling  around the house and not able to use our ab muscles.  The surgery went really good and Devin is healing up really good too.  This last friday Devin's cousing Scott got married to Heidi and we were able to go to there wedding in Idaho Falls.  We spent the weekend at Stan and Sylvia's place.  Then yesterday (Memorial Day) I went down to Tremonton with my sister and cousin and we had a BBQ with the Baugh's and also a little baby shower for me and little Eli.  After the shower we drove back up to Pocatello and had a phenomenal dinner at Stan and Sylvia's.  We had bbq chicken, grilled veggies and shrimp, grilled pineapple with little bit of brown sugar, rolls, watermelon, and dutch oven potatoes.  Yummmm, It was really really good.  Thank you Stan and Sylvia for that wonderful dinner.  Devin started a fire and we made smores.  It was just the perfect way to finish off the weekend.  And to top it all off I am 37 weeks today, which also means I am now considered full term,  Yahoo only a little bit longer to go!
 Before the surgery
After the surgery.  He was really out of it and funny:)
Devin's battle wounds.  There is a third one but that was too low.  They were able to do it laproscopically which makes the healing process a lot faster and the scars are a lot smaller as well.
Scott & Heidi cutting the cake (I loved Heidi's dress, she looked gorgeous)
 Cocoa Bean cupcakes, Yummm.
 Cupcakes and Italian Soda's!

Guatemala & more

Devin had a really great experience in Guatemala.  He surprised me with this backpack.  We call it my Indiana Jones backpack cuz it has the top flap that comes down.  I've always wanted one and he did really good at picking it out, love it.
We also went to the farmers market last weekend and I won the raffle and got this basket full of fun surprises.
Week 34
Just being silly

Our new place

We moved at the end of April and then we were gone for two weeks.  It's nice to be back home and I've been getting the baby room ready.  I still need/want to get a few more things.  We really like the place, it has a lot more room and more storage.  Here are some pictures of the baby room.  On the left wall I have my craft stuff so the baby stuff may seem kinda cramped but it works.  Devin wanted to put up his Danish flag:)

I painted these for the room when I was in Utah.
In our room I have my little girly corner:)

Canada

My family went up to Canada for my Grandpa's funeral.  It was a really fast but good trip and I'm so glad I was able to go.  My Grandpa loved horses and the day of the funeral a little Philly was born.  It was really cute and really neat.

A Turn in Events

This last week has been quite the week.  Devin has been in Guatemala and will be there til Sunday.  We drove down to Utah last Wednesday night so I could take them (Devin and a friend) to the airport on Thursday morning.  I've just been haning out at my parents place while he has been gone.  It was supposed to be nice and relaxing but some turn in events have happened that have changed my life forever.  Last Saturday my cousin and I were going to have a baby shower with the Baugh side and she unfortunately had a still born last week right before I came down to Utah.  I was able to visit her the day I dropped off Devin at the airport. It was good seeing her, she and her husband are so strong.  Our boys were going to be a month apart and best buddies.  I know we will see him one day and our boys are together right now looking down on us.
Another turn of events is that my Grandpa Jack (my moms dad) passed away today.  He has been fighting cancer the last 3 or 4 years and about a month ago the doctor told us that the chemo treatments were not working anymore and he only had about 4-6 weeks left.  It came a little sooner then we thought and I am going to miss him so much but I know he is not in pain anymore and is with my sweet Grandma again.  I am so thankful for the gospel and the knowledge that we will be able to see him again.
