Week 28 (7 Months)

I have made it to 7 months, yahoo! Only three more months to go. I am getting bigger and it is harder to move around. I am getting Braxton Hicks more but the good thing is that I am feeling great. The baby is moving all the time in my belly, it's really fun and sometimes it tickles me:) I am really excited for the month of April. A lot of exciting things happening like baby showers, general conference, Easter, my brothers graduation, Devin's going to Guatemala to do dental work and we will be moving into a two bedroom apartment. Lots of things to look forward to and soon enough this little baby boy well be here.

Baby Sewing Frenzy

I've been busy sewing baby things. I would say I am definitely in a nesting stage. I just want to get everything ready and set up the room and make sure we have everything that we need. I didn't post everything I've made because some of the things I made are gifts. I did make a diaper bag. Diaper bags can be very pricey but I ended up spending no more than 15 dollars making this diaper bag. It's nice to save money when I make things and I added a bird which makes it more personal. My mother gave me some fabric and I made some burp clothes and some receiving blankets. On the receiving blankets I sewed decorative stitches and they came out really cute. Now I just can't wait to use it all.

Birthday Boy

It was Devin's 24th Birthday on Sunday and we had a fun birthday weekend. Saturday, I blind folded him and Ben and I took him to dinner. We went to Outback Steakhouse because he wanted a good hardy steak thanks to my mother. Thank you mom, wish you could have been there. We didn't blindfold him all the way to Idaho Falls but blind folding him did make it more fun. Then when we got home we had some friends over for peanut butter cake and games. It was a lot of fun. On Sunday I made meatloaf and twice baked potatoes for dinner, his request. That night we watched x-men: first class. He got a lot of fun gifts and we had a really fun weekend.

Belnap Baby Shower

This last weekend Sylvia (my mother-in-law) and Jessica (my sister-in-law) put on a baby shower for me. It was such a fun shower. It was everything I hoped it would be and even more. The games were fun, the food was super good, and the company was good too. Jessica did the decorations and she did such a cute job. I took some pictures but since it was such a nice a sunny day some of the pictures are a little dark. It was a wonderful shower and I got some really cute and wonderful gifts as well. Thank you Sylvia and Jessica and all the other sisters for putting on this shower it was phenomenal. And Thank you for those who came and all the cute baby gifts too.

Joseph Smith Quilt

My mother finished the Joseph Smith quilt she has been working on for seven years and it is gorgeous. Devin and I are now using it on our bed and it fits perfect. Each different pattern on the quilt represents a part of Joseph Smith's life. It is such a beautiful and nice quilt. Thank you so much mother dear, you did a phenomenal job.

Homemade Headband Holder

I had a lot of headbands but I didn't have a good place to put them. So I got the idea off of pinterest to take an empty oatmeal can and glue paper around it. It holds my headbands perfectly and looks very nice. Devin volunteered to hold it for me so I could take a picture of it:)

Baby Blankets

Here are pictures of the two quilts I made. When I was down in Utah last week my mom got me fabric to make two quilts. She doesn't have time to make them so I did. I am doing an animal theme in his room and my inspiration is a picture of a turtle my cousin got me for Christmas. The first one is a turtle rag quilt. It turned out really cute and a lot bigger then I thought it was going to be. He is our pet turtle now and we call him Murtle the Turtle. The other one is an animal pieced quilt and then I sewed each animal on the top to make the animals stand out more. The white stuff is the batting in the middle because it's not finished. My mom is going to get it quilted. I'm excited to see the end product. Can't wait til little Junior comes :)
