Squash

Eli is now 6 and 1/2 months old.  He is scooting everywhere and can crawl a few steps before he falls over.  He sits up good but still a little wobbly.  He puts everything in his mouth and loves to gnaw on his fingers and mom and dad's fingers.  He loves watching people and sometimes it feels like he knows exactly what your saying.  He is a very curious little boy and a busy body.  He babbles a lot and it's so funny.  We just visited the doctors for his six month check up and shots.  He is in the 5th percentile for weight, still in the 60th percentile for height and 2 percentile for head circumference.  He is a lot like me when I was a babe. He weighs 14 lbs and 14 oz. and 26 3/4 inches tall. Right when he turned six months he had a huge growth spurt so he adapted to solid foods fast. His favorite foods are sweet potatoes and pears. But the first thing we fed him was squash and he made the funniest faces, it was hilarious. Here is a video we took of him.

Here is Eli opening his pajama's Christmas Eve.

Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year

We had a wonderful Christmas holiday. It went by so fast but now it's nice to be home and get back into the swing of things.  For Christmas we went to my folks place.  It was crazy but fun, going to party after party. My Mom's birthday is on the 18th so we went to Tucano's for lunch and then went to the hobbit that night.  We had lots of fun and the hobbit is really good.  We had a great time with my family.  For new years we went to Devin's folks place.  We lit the tree on fire with fireworks on new years eve, which is a tradition.  But first they douse is with gas and the tree is so dry anyways it goes up in flames really fast.  The flames were probably 20 feet, no joke.  It was awesome!  Eli slept the new year in. On new years Devin and I saw Les Miserables, which was phenomenal.  I have always loved the music and the play and we thought they did a good job. I thought Marius and Eponine and really good voices and Hugh Jackman did pretty good. It helped me understand some of the parts in the story better. Devin played Marius in Les Mis when he was in high school so it brought back a lot of memories for him.  We had so much fun with both families.  Thank you guys for all that you do and for all the fun times.

I made Eli a little owl ornament.

December Update

Well, life has been crazy for us lately.  I've tried to upload pictures but it won't let me. It says I have met the 1GB limit, so if anyone knows about that let me know.  We had a nice Thanksgiving at the Stan & Sylvia Belnap home.  We were able to spend time with family and eat a lot of good turkey.  I got a job in Pocatello for a Home Care and Hospice company about a month ago.  I work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and it's working out really good.  My sister-in-law and mother-in-law help watch Eli during the day and I just stay in Pocatello Tue. and Wed. night.  I really like the company I work for and also going to people's homes to take care of them.  Another neat thing that recently happened is that Devin got into Dental school.  He applied to 14 different schools and ended up getting into Roseman which is in South Jordan, UT.  Who would of thought, all those different places across the U.S. he applied for and we are going to end up in Utah for dental school.  We are very excited and so is both of our families.  Eli is 6 months in a week.  Crazy how time flies.  He is scooting all over and is a very curious little boy.  We love watching him develop.  And that is what we have been up to lately.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

For Halloween Eli was Max and Devin and I were monsters from Where The Wild Things Are.

Erica and Ashley were zombies.  They're really freaking me out.

I made caramel apples with homemade caramel this year and they turned out really really good, they were super easy too. This will have to be a tradition.

Devin had to do homework but Eli and I went to Pocatello for a potluck party, we had cotton candy and did some trunk or treating with the Belnap's.  It was a blast!  What a fun Halloween, can't wait til next year!

Happy Fall Ya'll

Fall comes and goes so fast here but we were able to enjoy it.  We went to a pumpkin patch, played in the leafs and carved some pumpkins.  I just love fall!
